Killcare, NSW offers views to the Palm Beach, NSW lighthouse. It has a campsite at the far end of the beach which is also a popular spot for weddings. Killcare is also home to the award winning restaurant Bells At Killcare plus the famous Killcare SLSC where upstairs you will also find Randall's On The Beach with spectacular views to dine by.
History
In 1898, the S.S.Mailtand was shipwrecked on the rocks, claiming 26 lives ( see the photo above ). The name Killcare, NSW was officially stamped in 1972, after it was subdivided in 1916 and promoted as a place to holiday and relax and 'kill care'. First settled by Mr.William Ward, who named Hardys Bay, NSW Wards Bay, hence the road that takes you there is named Wards Hill Road.
